Life can be very challenging at times full of ups and downs. We can get stuck and overwhelmed in certain situations and this is when psychotherapy and counselling can help. It can also be a great tool to help you discover more or yourself, enhance or amend your lifestyle, give focus attention to your growth and personal development. You don't have to be going through a difficult period in your life to see and experience the benefits of talking or somatic therapy.
About me and my practice
For many years I have worked in the City of London in a corporate and high pressured environment, I have an understanding of how the challenges of working in the City can sometimes trigger addictive behaviors, anxiety or depression.
My experience of seeing people get better when they learn to see themselves and their world differently gives me great joy and satisfaction, I see how shifts happens in the lives of my clients. This is a gradual process which I give full attention and dedication by providing a warm, non-judgmental and supportive environment where work can then begin by looking in depth at the needs of my clients life difficulties and take the necessary steps towards the healing of emotional, mental and existential dis-ease.
I see therapy as a collaborative, supportive working relationship. My aim is to provide a distinctive space to make sense of what is going on in the life of my clients and the way they are feeling, enabling them to confront their anxieties and negative thoughts and to make decisions about how to live life and deal with life problems in their own way.
Working in partnership with my clients and building a trustworthy relationship allows the opportunity to really shed light on the difficulties my clients face and explore the possibilities and choices available to them, to seek a way to live life more fully and to take active steps towards change and transformation.
My clinical approach is integrative which means I draw upon different types of therapies, I take the view that there is no single approach that can treat you in all situations, there are many ways in which the human mind can be explored and understood and no one theory alone holds the answer.

Additional Information
I'm also drawn and find existential psychotherapy very helpful and useful way to look at the way we live our lives. Whilst the importance of past events, and relationship patterns or dynamics are integral to the person you are today, it is how you come to clarify and understand those events from the perspective of the present that will enable you to move forward.
Existential psychotherapy encourages a philosophical enquiry into life experience and relationships; it is a practical and relational approach which involves working with your real lived experience rather than interpretations based on theories and models of the mind. We are invited to consider our values, and what really matters to us, to examine our lives, and inspire us to live courageously, responsibly, and with authenticity.
